Mid Wales 200
The Mid Wales 200 is a circular 200 mile trail ultra held 17 to 22 June 2026 with start and finish in Machynlleth. Runners have a strict 120 hour non-stop time limit to complete the course; participants must pass the 100 mile marker within 55 hours.
The route covers roughly 200 miles with a total elevation gain of about 30,187 feet and is reported as approximately 80% trail and 20% road. The course follows sections of Glyndwr's Way and Offa's Dyke, traversing rolling hills, woodlands and valleys along the Wales-England border.
Event support includes around 10 checkpoints spaced at roughly 25 mile intervals, three full sleep stations, staffed aid stations serving hot and cold food and drinks, and a medical team. Runners may be accompanied by personal crews or may run uncrewed; shops along the route are available for use. Live tracking is provided via individual trackers issued at the start and a tracking link will be shared the day before the event.
Drop bag service is provided to every checkpoint; each runner is allowed one drop bag with maximum dimensions 45 cm x 75.5 cm x 45 cm (volume 132 litres). Plastic boxes or suitcases are not permitted. Entry fees at publication are £499 for early entries, rising to £549 from 1 November 2025. Finishers receive a belt buckle and medal; all finishers also receive event apparel and a map print. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
