Mid Sussex Marathon Weekend
The Mid Sussex Marathon Weekend is a three day running event held over the early May Bank Holiday weekend across East Grinstead, Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill. The series of town races can be entered individually or combined to cover the marathon distance over three days.
Distances in the event include:
- Marathon, staged by combining three town races
- 10 Mile
- 10k
- Mile (chip timed, age 7 and over)
- Fun Run (family friendly, fancy dress welcome)
Routes run through local countryside and include multi terrain, undulating sections. Detailed route maps and GPX files are provided for each race.
A virtual marathon option is available. Participants may complete the marathon in one effort or over multiple outings within the event's virtual entry window and must submit evidence for verification before medals are issued.
Included items and awards vary by race and may include bespoke medals, medals for the Mile and Fun Run, trophies and prizes, and a marathon T-shirt. On-the-day entry fees are listed for each distance, subject to availability. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
