Mid Sussex Marathon Weekend
The Mid Sussex Marathon Weekend is a three day road and multi terrain event across East Grinstead, Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill in West Sussex. The event returns for its 15th year in 2026 and is presented as a series of town races that together form the Mid Sussex Marathon. The terrain is described as multi terrain and undulating.
The weekend schedule covers one race in each town: a 10 mile in East Grinstead, a 10 mile in Haywards Heath and a 10k in Burgess Hill. Participants may enter individual town races or combine the town races to cover the full marathon distance across the three days.
Additional races include a chip timed Mile for participants aged seven and over and a Fun Run intended for younger or family entrants; fancy dress is permitted in the Fun Run. Route maps and GPX files are provided for each race. A Virtual Marathon option is offered; entrants who choose the virtual option must submit evidence of their results for verification.
Entries include bespoke medals, medals for the Mile and Fun Run, trophies and prizes, and a T shirt provided for the Marathon. On the day entry fees are published for each distance and the Marathon on-the-day purchase is only available at East Grinstead. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
