Mid-Maryland Trail Festival 50k and 50k Relay - January 31, 2026

The event is a trail ultramarathon held at Rockburn Branch Park, 6145 Montgomery Rd, Elkridge, MD 21075. Distances offered:

50K Relay

The 50K distance is a 31-mile course made of six loops. Each loop is about 5.179 miles. Relay teams may include 2 to 6 people, with exchanges after each loop. Participants may choose to run fewer loops - options listed include 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 loops.

Location and logistics

The race starts and finishes at the pavilion at the end of the road behind Rockburn Elementary School. There is no parking on the grass. An aid station on course is stocked with a variety of food and drinks throughout the day. Organizers note that the local Recreation and Parks department can require cancellation for weather-related issues. Registration closes January 28, 2026. Late packet pickup begins when the park opens; an additional pickup is available the prior day between 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM at Feet First.
