Michael's Run for Life Festival
The Michael's Run for Life Festival is a community sports event held in Germantown Hills, Illinois. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Michael P Brown Colon Cancer Foundation, which focuses on promoting awareness and increasing research funding for signet ring cell adenocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of colon cancer.
Participants can choose from several scheduled activities:
- 5K Run
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk (untimed)
- Kids' Run (untimed, for ages 8 and under)
The festivities take place at 505 Jubilee Lane. In addition to the running events, general admission tickets are available for a featured concert. Packet pickup is organized over three days, with sessions at RC Outfitters during the two days preceding the race and a final pickup session at the race site on the day of the event.
The event utilizes professional timing and scoring services provided by ShaZam Racing for the 5K distance. Registration options include individual entries, team participation, and the ability to gift registrations to other participants. The festival is supported by numerous local sponsors and volunteer contributions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
