Michael H. Wise II Memorial 5K and 1/2 Mile Kids Fun Run
This event on September 27, 2026 takes place at Reading Area Community College in Reading, PA and benefits the Michael H. Wise II Memorial Foundation, which honors the life of a fallen Reading City Police officer.

The 5K uses a wheel-measured course on closed streets and a shaded asphalt trail. The Kids Fun Run awards a small prize to finishers. T-shirts are guaranteed for all pre-entries in the 5K; late and day-of entrants receive shirts on a first-come, first-served basis. The event offers refreshments, parking, a time clock at the finish, and instant results. Results are posted within 48 to 72 hours. The event is held rain or shine; there are no refunds or mailed awards.
Open awards include top male and female overall plus age-group awards covering multiple brackets from youth through 60 and over. Separate law enforcement awards include an overall fastest law enforcement runner recognition and age-group awards; law enforcement winners are also eligible for open awards.
Entry fees listed are $35 for the 5K if postmarked by September 7, 2026 and $40 after that date including race day; the Kids Fun Run entry is $5. Insurance is provided by Road Runner Clubs of America. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
