Michael H. Wise II Memorial 5K and 1/2 Mile Fun Run
This event on September 27, 2026, is a community road race and kids fun run held at Reading Area Community College in Reading, PA. Distances offered include:

T-shirts are guaranteed to all pre-entries of the 5K; late and day-of 5K entries receive shirts on a first come, first served basis. The Kids Fun Run offers a small prize for finishers and does not include shirts. The event provides refreshments, on-site parking, a time clock at the finish, and instant results. Results are posted on Pretzel City Sports within 48 to 72 hours. The event proceeds rain or shine; there are no refunds or mailed awards.
The course is described as fast and wheel-measured, using closed streets and a shaded asphalt trail. Open awards include separate top male and female awards and age group awards for 18 & under, 19–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, and 60 & over, with multiple places per group. Additional law enforcement awards include an overall fastest law enforcement runner recognition and age group law enforcement awards for 18–39.
Entry fees: 5K is $35 if postmarked by September 7, 2026, and $40 after that date including race day; the Kids Fun Run fee is $5 regardless of postmark. Optional online registration is available for a nominal service fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
