Miccosukee Glades Runner
The Miccosukee Tribe of Florida organizes the Glades Runner races in the Everglades on March 13, 2027. Events begin and end at the Miccosukee Indian Village, adjacent to Shark Valley at Tamiami Station in Miami, Florida. All courses are run on paved surfaces and incorporate the Shark Valley loop.
Three distance options are offered:
- 5 kilometers: fun run on pavement incorporating part of the Shark Valley loop.
- 16.5 miles: on pavement covering the entire Shark Valley loop.
- 50 kilometers: ultramarathon on pavement that includes all of Shark Valley and a portion of historic Loop Road.
Registration for these races opened on August 19, 2026 and closed on October 31, 2026. Listed registration fees were $40 for the 5 kilometer, $125 for the 16.5 mile, and $195 for the 50 kilometer event.
