Somerset Academy Bay First Annual 5K
The First Annual SoBay Dolphin 5K Run/Walk and Fit Family Fun Day is scheduled for Dec. 6, 2026 at Zoo Miami, 12400 SW 152nd St, Miami, FL 33177. The event combines a 5K run/walk with a family activity day on the zoo grounds.
The event promotes health, wellness, school spirit, family engagement, and community pride. Funds raised will be invested into student programs, athletics, wellness initiatives, educational opportunities, and campus improvements that directly benefit students.
Features include a scenic 5K course and a finish-line celebration with music, food, and awards. The Fit Family Fun Day offers a live DJ, bounce houses, games, food, and all-day access to Zoo Miami. Zoo Miami spans 750 acres with about 4 miles of walkways and houses more than 2,000 animals.
Fees are listed by participant type: $45 for adult participants (age 16 and older) and $30 for child participants (age 15 and younger). To receive a race-day t-shirt and participation medal, registration must be completed by Oct. 30, 2026. Full-day admission to Zoo Miami is included for every registered participant; a spectator fee of $25 applies to attendees not participating in the race.
