Somerset Academy Bay First Annual 5K
The Somerset Academy Bay First Annual 5K is an inaugural community running event held at Zoo Miami, located at 12400 SW 152nd St, Miami FL 33177. The event brings together students, parents, staff, alumni and local residents to promote health, school spirit and family engagement through a shared physical activity.
The event offers a scenic 5K course for runners and walkers and a lively finish line celebration with music, food and sponsor participation. Registered participants receive a performance t-shirt and a custom finisher medal, and full-day admission to Zoo Miami. T-shirts and medals are guaranteed for registrations completed by October 30, 2026, and race apparel and medals are guaranteed only to the first 300 participants.
Fees are specified by category: $45 for participants 16 years and older, $30 for students 15 years and younger, and a $25 spectator fee payable through the school website. The event also includes a Fit Family Fun Day with activities such as bounce houses, games, food and a live DJ. Zoo Miami features 750 acres, about 4 miles of walkways and more than 2,000 animals.
