Event overview

Lost in Miami Ultra is a fixed-time urban ultra held on January 10, 2026, in Miami, Florida. The event gives runners a choice of route through the city rather than a set course. The start and finish location is Hero Martial Arts at 17049 S. Dixie Hwy, Palmetto Bay, FL. The field is limited to 50 entrants.

Format and rules

Runners have 18 hours of course time to accumulate miles by visiting required landmarks. The organizer provides a list of landmark locations the day before the event. There are no set loops or prescribed directions; participants plan their own routes. Rankings are based on the most miles accumulated during the fixed time.

Proof of distance and landmark visits is required. Runners must present GPS tracker data to show miles and must take a selfie at each landmark to register those visits at the finish. To be eligible for podium awards, a runner must reach all required landmarks and return to the finish on foot. Catching a ride to the finish disqualifies podium eligibility.

Entries and awards

All finishers receive a t-shirt, additional event swag, and a finisher medal. There is an overall podium for first through third place based on miles accumulated. The event does not offer refunds; in some cases a one-time deferral or credit to another race may be granted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
