MGM Runway 5K

The MGM Runway 5K is the second annual 5-kilometer run held at Montgomery Regional Airport on May 30, 2026. The event takes place on a closed course on the airport airfield at 4445 Selma Highway, Montgomery, AL 36108.

The course uses Taxiway Bravo Echo and Runway 3-21 south, located beside the active Runway 3-21. The airport reports roughly four miles of runway area on site. Registered participants may run or walk on the runway and will have close views of aircraft landing and taking off. The MGM terminal is visible from parts of the course.

Registration is required for runners. Children 14 and under must be registered and accompanied by a registered adult. Children 5 and under are admitted free with a registered adult. The race will be limited to the first 500 participants. The listed registration fee for the 5k Run/Walk is $35; a spectator option is offered with no registration fee.
