Woodland Creek Memorial Day 5K
The Woodland Creek Memorial Day 5K is scheduled for May 25, 2026 in Pike Road, Alabama at 8800 Lodge Drive. This is the fourth annual running of the event. The course is 3.1 miles and follows the same clockwise route from the Lodge as the previous year. Proceeds benefit River Region Trails, a local nonprofit.
Registration, course and race-day details
Registration fees are $25 until April 20 and $35 until May 24; registration closes 16 hours before the race (4:00 PM Sunday, May 24). Kids 4 and under are free and do not need to register. Participants who register by April 20 are guaranteed a race t-shirt in the correct size; shirts after that date are available first come, first serve at packet pickup. Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24 at The Lodge, with additional pickup on race day starting at The Lodge. The event enforces a 1-hour cut-off time on the course.
The course is well-marked, with police at the entrance outside The Lodge for traffic control and EMS on-site. New for 2026 are dog and stroller categories; stroller entries must have a bib attached to the stroller. Medals are handcrafted from Woodland Creek woods. Post-race offerings include a raffle (entry included with registration), donated food and drinks, inflatables, yard games, and professional photography. Parking is available in nearby pods such as Black Cherry Ct, Red Maple Ln, and Challis Dr; parking on Crescent Lodge Drive is allowed only inside the curb circle.
