Woodland Creek Memorial Day 5K
The Woodland Creek Memorial Day 5K is scheduled for May 25, 2026, at 8800 Lodge Drive, Pike Road, Alabama. The event is a 3.1 miles course that follows the same clockwise route from the Lodge as the previous year. All proceeds benefit River Region Trails, a nonprofit focused on outdoor trail development in Pike Road.
Registration has tiered pricing: $25 through April 20 and $35 through May 24, with registration closing 16 hours before the race. Kids age 4 and under do not need to register. Participants who register by April 20 are guaranteed a race t-shirt in their chosen size; shirts after that date are available at packet pickup while supplies last.
The event uses five-year age brackets for awards and presents handcrafted medals made from Woodland Creek woods. A raffle and an awards ceremony are part of the post-race program. A dog and a stroller category are new for 2026; dogs and strollers are registered in the same manner as individual participants.
Packet pickup occurs at the Lodge on the Saturday and Sunday before the race, with additional pickup available on race day. The course is well marked, with police at the Lodge entrance for traffic control and EMS on site. Post-race provisions include G&S Donuts, fruit, juice boxes, bottled water, raffle prizes, inflatables and yard games, and two complimentary beers for participants 21 and older.
