Metro Aberdeen Proms Promenade 3K Winter Series 2026/2027
The event is presented by Metro Aberdeen Running Club as a winter series of promenade races at The Beach Esplanade, Aberdeen. The course is promoted under SAL rules and was measured using a Jones counter. The series is staged on the first Friday of each month from October to March with scheduled dates of 2 October, 6 November, 4 December 2026, 8 January 2027, 5 February and 5 March. Total places are listed as 120.
Each race covers 3K on the promenade, located approximately 150 metres north of the Beach Leisure Centre. Accumulated times from three races count toward the overall series results and series prizes are awarded in various categories. The same race number should be used for the whole series and numbers are collected on the day.
Entry is by pre-entry only and the entry fee is £3 per race; entrants must register for each race. A facility exists to transfer an entry to another competitor provided organisers are notified in advance with full details of the substitute.
