Metro Aberdeen Proms 3K Winter Series
Metro Aberdeen Running Club presents the Promenade 3K Winter Series 2026/2027, promoted under SAL rules with the course measured by Jones counter. The series takes place on the Beach Esplanade in Aberdeen, with events on the first Friday of the month from October to March.
Scheduled dates in the series are: 2 October, 6 November, 4 December 2026, 8 January, 5 February and 5 March. The event location is 150 metres north of the Beach Leisure Centre on the promenade. Total places are listed as 120.
Entry is by pre-entry only and the entry fee is £3 per race; participants must register for each race. Race numbers are to be collected on the day and the same number should be kept for the series. Competitors must report to registration at each race to confirm participation.
Overall series results use accumulated times from three races to determine standings. Series prizes will be awarded in various categories. There is a separate junior series for U/16s for 2026-2027. A facility exists to substitute a registered competitor with another person; this requires contacting the race director and providing full details of the substitute. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
