Metro Aberdeen Proms 3K Winter Series - February
Metro Aberdeen Running Club stages the Promenade 3K Winter Series 2026/2027 on the Beach Esplanade in Aberdeen. The series takes place on the first Friday of the month from October to March, on these dates: October 2, November 6, December 4 2026, January 8 2027, February 5, and March 5.
The course is promoted under SAL rules and has been measured by Jones Counter. The event location is described as 150 metres north of the Beach Leisure Centre on the promenade. Total places are listed as 120.
Entry is by pre-entry only; the entry fee is £3 per race and competitors must register for each race. Numbers are collected on the day and competitors are asked to report to registration at each race to confirm participation. The same race number should be kept for the series where possible.
Overall series results use accumulated times from three races to determine standings, and series prizes will be awarded in various categories. A separate series is provided for juniors under 16. There is a facility to transfer a paid entry to another competitor by contacting the event organisers with full details of the substitute.
