About the race
The Junior Proms Dash is a winter series of junior road races held on The Beach Esplanade in Aberdeen. The series is promoted under SAL rules and the course has been measured by Jones Counter. All profits from the series will go to the charity Abernecessities.
Races are run over 3K and take place on a set of dates across the 2026/2027 season, including October 9, November 20, December 11, January 15 2027, February 12 and March 19. Entries are open to Primary 5 age 9 and upwards. Entry requires pre-registration for each race and the entry fee is £2 per race. Numbers are to be collected on race day and the same race number should be kept for the series.
Overall series standings are determined by accumulated times from three races. Series prizes will be awarded in various categories. The course meeting point is 150 metres north of the Beach Leisure Centre on the promenade. There is a facility for an entered competitor to pass their place to another person by contacting the race organisers with full details of the substitute. Results will be posted on the NESAP Facebook group.
