About the race
Metro Aberdeen Running Club presents the Promenade 3K Winter Series 2026/2027, promoted under SAL rules with the course measured by a Jones counter. The series takes place along The Beach Esplanade in Aberdeen, approximately 150 metres north of the Beach Leisure Centre on the promenade.
Events are scheduled on the first Friday of each month from October to March. The listed dates are October 2, November 6, December 4 2026, January 8 2027, February 5, and March 5. Each race requires a separate entry and places are limited; the listing shows a total of 120 places for the event date provided.
Entry details: the fee is £3 per race and pre-entries only are accepted; no entries are taken on the day. Race numbers are collected on the day and participants should report to registration at each race to confirm participation. Entrants are asked to keep the same race number for the series where possible.
Series scoring and prizes: accumulated times from three races count toward the overall series standings, and series prizes are awarded in various categories. A separate series is organised for juniors under 16. Competitor substitutions are permitted; entrants who cannot attend may transfer their place by contacting the race organisers with full details of the substitute. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
