Promenade 3K Winter Series 2026/2027
The Promenade 3K Winter Series is organised by Metro Aberdeen Running Club and takes place on the Beach Esplanade, Aberdeen, approximately 150 metres north of the Beach Leisure Centre on the promenade. The course is measured by Jones Counter and the series is promoted under SAL rules.
Races are held on the first Friday of each month from October to March, with the six dates listed for 2026/2027: October 2, November 6, December 4 2026, January 8 2027, February 5, and March 5. Each race distance is 3K.
Entry requires pre-registration and an entry fee of £3 per race. The same race number should be kept for the series; numbers are collected on the day. Participants must report to registration at each race to confirm participation. Accumulated times from three races count toward the overall series standings. Series prizes will be awarded in various categories. There is a separate junior series for under 16s.
If an entered competitor cannot participate, the entry may be transferred to another person by contacting the race director with substitute details. Total places are limited and pre-entries only are accepted; no entries are taken on the day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
