Event Overview
The Metro Aberdeen Proms 3K Winter Series February race is part of the Promenade 3K Winter Series 2025/2026, organised by Metro Aberdeen Running Club.
The event takes place on 6 February 2026 at The Beach Esplanade in Aberdeen. It is a 3 km road race, promoted under SAL rules, with the course measured by Jones Counter.
This February race is one of a series held on the first Friday of each month from October to March. For the 2025/2026 series, race dates include October 3rd, November 7th, December 5th, January 9th 2026, February 6th 2026, and March 6th 2026.
Series Format and Location
The start area and race registration are located on the promenade, approximately 150 metres north of the Beach Leisure Centre. Numbers are collected on the day, and runners must report to race registration for each race. The same race number should be kept for the full series.
Three races in the series count towards the accumulated time for the overall series results. Series prizes are awarded in various categories; there are no separate prizes for individual races.
Entry and Participation
The entry fee is £2 per race + 50p admin, and runners must register for each race. Pre-entries are required, with no entries taken on the day. Registration is open until 5 February 2026 at 12:00.
All standards of runners are welcome. There is a separate series for juniors under 16. There is also a facility to change competitors for those unable to attend, by arranging a number transfer with the organisers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
