Event Overview
The Metro Aberdeen Proms 3K Winter Series is a six-race winter running series organized by the Metro Aberdeen Running Club. The series comprises individual 3 km races held on the first Friday of each month from October to March.
Race Details
The races take place on The Beach Esplanade in Aberdeen. The start point is 150 meters north of the Beach Leisure Centre on the promenade. The event is promoted under SAL rules, and the course is measured by a Jones Counter.
Series Structure
For the 2025/2026 series, there is a separate event for junior runners under 16. Participation in the overall series standings requires completing a minimum of three races, with accumulated times counting toward the final results. Series prizes are awarded in various categories based on these accumulated times.
Registration and Participation
Entry is by pre-registration only; no entries are accepted on the race day. Participants must collect their race number on the day of the event and report to race registration before each race.
