Metro Aberdeen Beach 10k

Metro Aberdeen Beach 10k is organised by Metro Aberdeen Running Club, which was established in 1990 and caters to runners across road, hill, cross country and track running. The event takes place on 19 June 2026 and covers a distance of 10 km along the seafront promenade.

The course starts on the upper promenade outside the Beach Leisure Centre, heads north to Donmouth, drops to the lower promenade and runs south to Footdee (sometimes known locally as Fittie). Runners return to the upper promenade, head north again to Donmouth, drop to the lower promenade and finish around the Beach Leisure Centre. The course is generally fast and flat but can be affected by wind.

Entries are online only via Entry Central, with no entries on the day. Entry fees are £20 for non-registered runners and £18 for Scottish Athletics members. Entries close at midday on 19 June or when the entry limit of 400 is reached. There are no refunds, but entries may be transferred to another person up to midnight on the closing date via the entrant's Entry Central account. Registration takes place at Transition Extreme on the day.

There are two water stops on route at approximately 2 and 4 miles. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and across age categories. A £200 bonus is offered for breaking the male or female course records set since Metro Aberdeen RC began organising the race.
