Meteor Mile

The Meteor Mile is a unique running event held at Gloucestershire Airport, Staverton, featuring a fast, measured one-mile course along the airport's main runway. Scheduled for the evening of August 29, 2025, the race offers a traffic-free experience as the airport closes to flights during the event. Open to all ages, families are encouraged to participate, with prizes awarded to top senior and junior runners, as well as "Almost Athletes." Registration occurs landside near the terminal, followed by a group walk to the start line.

Post-race refreshments and prize presentations take place at The Aviator bar. Entry fees are £10 for adults and £5 for juniors under 15. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
