Mermaid Trail Run at Huddart Park
The event takes place on November 7, 2026 at Huddart Park in Woodside, California and is part of the Mermaid Series. Multiple race options are offered along marked trail courses, and course maps and interactive routes are available.
Distances include:
- 3 mile
- 6 mile
- 9 mile
- Half Marathon
- Virtual
- 6 Hour Challenge, individual and relay
- Mermaid Youth 1.5 mile Dash
The trails are described as hilly with some steep sections; participants may need to hike or walk the steepest hills. The 6 Hour Challenge uses a 3 mile loop. There is no cut-off for the 3 mile and 6 mile events. The Half Marathon and 9 mile have a cut-off that requires a roughly 25 minute per mile pace and reaching the third aid station by the specified cutoff to continue.
The event is cupless for sustainability; runners can purchase a reusable silicone cup or bring their own. Aid stations provide water, a CURE electrolyte drink, and snack bars, and runners are advised to carry at least 20 ounces of water. Trails are not suitable for baby strollers.
Parking at the park is limited; parking costs $6 cash per car and dogs are not allowed inside the park. Packet pickup is available Thursday at Sports Basement Redwood City (time TBD) and on race day at Huddart Park, where a photo ID is required to collect a packet. All participants receive a post-race pancake breakfast.
Swag options can be customized during registration; opting out of items reduces the entry fee. Awards are given to female overall and female age group winners; men may participate but are not eligible for awards. Youth receive a 20% discount and the youth dash fee is listed in the entry details. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
