Course and logistics
Courses run primarily on moderately technical dirt trails and non-technical fire roads, with long hills. Hiking or trekking poles are permitted. Trails pass through redwood and mixed evergreen forest, then drier chaparral on the ridgeline, and include sections on Skyline, Crystal Springs, Bear Gulch, and Wunderlich trails. Course markings use colored surveyor ribbon placed about every 200 meters; blue ribbons mark wrong-way trails. Aid stations provide a range of food and fluids; drop bag service is not available. This is a cupless event, so runners must carry their own water bottle or reusable cup; reusable cups will be available for purchase. Parking inside the park costs $6 cash. Dogs are not allowed on park trails. Volunteers receive a race T-shirt, food, and credit toward future events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
