Mermaid Run San Francisco
The event offers multiple race distances and both in-person and virtual participation options. The in-person weekend is scheduled for Sunday, April 25, 2027, with the race venue, start, finish and expo located on the east side of Crissy Field in San Francisco. A virtual option runs March 7 to March 14 and includes event swag for virtual participants.
Distances:
- 5K - Very flat course at Crissy Field with views of the bay.
- 10K - Course routes into the Presidio and to a Pacific Ocean overlook.
- 10 Mile (Sirena10) - Course crosses the Golden Gate Bridge with ocean and bay views.
Race logistics and services include packet pickup on multiple days and locations, an optional "Mail My Packet" service for a fee, and a bag drop on race morning. The event is cupless; participants may purchase a reusable silicon cup or bring their own. Aid stations provide water, an electrolyte drink, and LUNA bars; gels are not served on course and wrappers should be dropped only at aid stations.
Youth programming includes the Mermaid Dash, which awards a medal, finisher necklace and post-race food; the dash entry does not include a race shirt. Strollers are permitted on the 5K and 10K but are not allowed on the Sirena10. Volunteer shifts can earn future race credits. Awards are offered for female participants; male participants receive shirt and finisher items but are not eligible for awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
