Ice Cream Race - QUAD 4, Mercer County Twilight QUAD
The Ice Cream Race is the fourth event in the Mercer County Twilight QUAD series, held on August 12, 2026, in Grove City, Pennsylvania at 71 Cranberry Rd. The QUAD is marking its 43rd anniversary and is described as the oldest continuous running series in the region. Through the first 140 events the series recorded over 50,000 finishers. Runners who complete all four events receive a commemorative award and each year more than 150 participants finish all four events. Specialty QUAD shirts will be available for purchase on site on a first come first serve basis.
The main race is a 5,000 meter road course laid out as an out-and-back route. The course is described as rolling with a gradual half mile downhill finish. All 5K events are chip timed with timing mats at miles 1, 2, and 3 to provide split times. Awards include top five male and top five female overall, top masters male and female, and top three in each published age group. Age groups start at 11 and under and progress through standard adult categories.
The event is open to runners and walkers and includes a children's run for younger participants. Child entrants receive a finisher ribbon and a separate youth award structure applies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
