Ice Cream Race - QUAD 4, Mercer County Twilight QUAD
The Ice Cream Race is the fourth event in the Mercer County Twilight QUAD, a long running summer series now in its 43rd year. The series is described as the oldest continuous running series in the region and has recorded over 50,000 finishers through its first 140 events. Runners who complete all four events receive a commemorative award; each year over 150 participants complete the full QUAD.
The Ice Cream Race takes place in Grove City at the First Baptist Church parking lot across from Grove City Medical Center, 71 Cranberry Rd, Grove City, PA 16127. The 5,000 meter course is out and back with rolling terrain and a gradual half mile downhill finish.

- 5,000 meters (3.1 miles) out and back rolling course
- Half mile children's run finisher ribbon for each child
All 5K events use chip timing with timing mats at miles 1, 2, and 3 to provide split times. Awards for 5K events include top 5 male and top 5 female overall, top masters male and female, and top 3 in standard age groups with no duplications. Youth awards are given for the kids run by age group. Base 5K entry includes refreshments, results, and race entry; a reduced base fee applies until 24 hours prior to the race and a higher fee applies on race day.
