Run for Wildlife NIGHT 5k
The Run for Wildlife NIGHT 5k takes place on 10 January 2027 at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster. The event is a timed and licensed 5 km run held as a night edition that follows main park paths and includes illuminated displays.
The event capacity is 1600 participants split into two waves of 800 each. Entry opens 6th September. Tickets for the in-person event are listed at £24.00 to £26.00 and include entry to the park for the day of the event. A virtual option is available at £13.50, which includes the same medal and an optional t-shirt.
The 2027 animal theme is the Amur Leopard, with proceeds from t-shirt sales supporting the Wildlife Foundation based at the park. The route starts in the park grounds and finishes at the hive. The course is designed to use main paths and organisers request no torches so animal displays are not disturbed; neon clothing is encouraged. Due to the night layout and course, buggies are not permitted at this event.
Participants are released in predicted time order within each wave. Finishers receive a medal and food options are available at the finish. Spectators can enter the park before the run with discounted spectator tickets for the illuminations. Volunteers are also requested to assist with the event.
