Run for Wildlife NIGHT 5k
The Run for Wildlife NIGHT 5k is a timed night running event held at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster on 10 January 2027. The event covers 5 km on main park paths, with a start in the park grounds and a finish area at the Hive. The route is subtly lit and designed to take in the park illuminations and evening atmosphere; participants are asked not to use torches to avoid disturbing the animals.
Capacity is 1600 runners split into two waves of 800. Entries include park admission for the event day. There is also a virtual option that includes the same medal and an optional t shirt. Entry prices are listed at £24.00 to £26.00 for in person entries and £13.50 for virtual entries.
Each year a featured animal provides the event theme and inspires medals and t shirts; 2027’s animal star is the Amur Leopard. Event information notes the Amur Leopard as critically endangered with an estimated seventy five individuals remaining in the wild. The organiser times the event with chip timing, offers post race medals and snacks, and sets start order by predicted finishing time.
