Run for Wildlife NIGHT 5k - 2027
The event is a night edition of the national multi-award winning 5k walk, jog, run safari held within the grounds of Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Auckley, Doncaster. The route stays on the park's main paths and is described as a suitable surface for running. Participants take in park illuminations and may see or hear some of the park's night time animals.
Organisers run two waves on the evening to manage demand. One wave is intended for participants who plan to finish in under 35 minutes, and the other wave is open to all. Results are based on chip time with both waves combined.
The event is timed and licensed as a standard 5k. Finishers receive snacks and a themed medal, and t-shirts and medals will be based on a chosen "night" animal that will be confirmed later. Runners are encouraged to wear neon clothing, and the use of torches is discouraged so animals are not disturbed.
Tickets for this edition are currently sold out. Ticket sales opened on 6 September 2026 and close on 24 December 2026. The event is organised by Curly's Athletes, a community and charity focused event management team based in Scunthorpe, United Kingdom.
