Event overview
Run for Wildlife NIGHT is a night edition of a national 5k walk, jog, run safari held on Sunday 4 January 2026 at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Auckley, Doncaster. The course starts and finishes within the park grounds and takes in park illuminations and nocturnal sounds. The event is a timed and licensed 5k race and results are based on chip time.
Tickets for the event are currently sold out. The event is organised by Curly's Athletes, a community and charity focussed event management team based in Scunthorpe.
Race format and facilities
Runners are allocated into two waves. One wave is for people planning to finish in under 35 minutes; the other wave is open to all participants. Chip times from both waves are combined for results. The route follows main paths, providing a firm surface, and the course is subtly lit. Participants are asked not to use torches to avoid disturbing animals and are encouraged to wear neon clothing. Finish-line provisions include medals and snacks. The event will feature a night animal theme for medals and t-shirts; the specific animal is to be confirmed.
