Memphis Running Festival
The Memphis Running Festival is a one day running event in Memphis, TN that gathers local runners for multiple timed and distance races and community activities. The festival centers on endurance running along park trails and includes a run club showcase for local groups to lead fun runs and connect with participants.
Event options include:
- 12 hour endurance run
- 6 hour endurance run
- Relay teams of three for endurance events
- 5K race
- 10K race
- Free Kids Dash around a 1.47 mile loop
- Donut Dash (1.47 mile loop with eating stations)
- Single loop race (1.47 mile)
- Three-loop relay for teams of three
All events use the Old Forest Loop or the Limestone Loop trail through the park; the two loops run parallel and runners are asked to move onto the limestone trail where the loop is shared with vehicles to keep the road clear.
An aid station will be located at Rainbow Lake Pavilion and will offer water, electrolyte drinks or mix, cola, lemon-lime soda, pickle juice, pancakes, bacon, and other snacks. Additional food will be provided for participants in the longer endurance events around midday and evening. Participants in multi-hour events may set up tents on the nearby greenspace for personal aid and hydration.
All finishers receive a t-shirt and a finisher medal; entries after November 1 are not guaranteed event shirts or medals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
