Memphis Running Festival
The Memphis Running Festival is a one-day set of running events held in Memphis, Tennessee. The festival centers on timed endurance running and a series of shorter races, all using the park loops. Events follow either the Old Forest Loop or the Limestone Loop trail, which run parallel through the park; participants are asked to use the limestone trail where the loop is accessible by car so the road remains open. Runners in longer events may set up personal tents on the greenspace for their own aid and hydration.
Event distances and formats include:
- 12 hour solo endurance run
- 6 hour solo endurance run
- Relay teams of three
- 5K
- 10K
- Free Kids Dash
- Donut Dash Race
- Single loop race (1.47 miles)
- Three-loop relay
An aid station at the Rainbow Lake Pavilion supplies water, electrolyte drinks or mix, cola, lemon-lime soda, pickle juice, pancakes, bacon, and other snacks. Additional food will be available for 6 hour and 12 hour participants around midday and evening. All finishers receive a t-shirt and a finisher medal; registrations after November 1 are not guaranteed a shirt or medal. A Run Club Showcase brings local running clubs to the event for group runs and community connection. The final hour of the 12 hour event includes a Golden Hour celebration to support endurance runners as they finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
