Memories Into Miles 3.43 Mile Run/Walk : Long Beach, NY
Memories Into Miles is the second annual 3.43 mile community run and walk held in Long Beach, New York on September 13, 2026. The event is presented by the 34.3 Foundation to honor the 343 FDNY members who died on September 11, 2001 and to raise funds for the foundation’s Active Duty Member Crisis Fund. The event is organized as rain or shine.
The course begins at Skudin Surf, follows the boardwalk west to New York Avenue, continues north on New York to Broadway, heads east on Broadway to Monroe Boulevard, returns south onto the boardwalk and finishes back at Skudin Surf. Participants receive a finisher medal, a breakfast voucher at Riptides with registration, and access to bathrooms and showers on the boardwalk. Live results are available by text and email, finish line photos are provided free, and bibs can be personalized if registration is completed three weeks before race day.
Registration lists a base option for the 3.43 mile run/walk with a stated base fee; total cost may vary with processing fees, donations, and optional purchase protection. Awards include top three male and female overall, top three in multiple age groups, and top three firehouse teams.
