Memories Into Miles 3.43 Mile Run/Walk
The event takes place on September 13, 2026 in Long Beach, New York, at Skudin Surf and the Boardwalk, 2 Riverside Blvd, Long Beach NY 11561. It is a community 3.43 mile run and walk organized by the 34.3 Foundation.
The event is held in memory of an FDNY firefighter and to honor the 343 FDNY members who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. Proceeds benefit the 34.3 Foundation and support its Active Duty Member Crisis Fund.
Participants receive a finisher medal and a breakfast voucher at Riptides. There are bathrooms and showers on the boardwalk at Skudin Surf, live results delivered online or by text and email, free finish line photos, and a personalized bib for those who register three weeks in advance. Last-minute registrants can receive a bib number by text shortly after registration. Awards include top three overall men and women, top three in multiple age groups, and top three firehouse teams.
The course begins at Skudin Surf, follows the boardwalk west to New York Avenue, continues north on New York to Broadway, goes east to Monroe Boulevard, and returns south onto the boardwalk back to Skudin Surf. Registration fees are non refundable and registration totals may vary based on additional options such as donations or purchase protection.
