Memories Into Miles 3.43 Mile Run/Walk
The 34.3 Foundation hosts the second annual 3.43 For The 343 Community Run in Long Beach, New York on September 13, 2026. The event is presented in memory of an FDNY firefighter and honors the 343 FDNY members who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Proceeds support the 34.3 Foundation and the Active Duty Member Crisis Fund for FDNY members and their families.
The event features a 3.43 mile run/walk along the boardwalk and nearby streets. The course begins and ends at Skudin Surf on the boardwalk, follows the boardwalk west to New York Avenue, proceeds north on New York to Broadway, continues east to Monroe Boulevard, returns south onto the boardwalk, and finishes back at Skudin Surf.
Event amenities include a finisher medal, a breakfast voucher at Riptides with registration, bathrooms and showers on the boardwalk at Skudin Surf, live results via text and email, free finish line photos, and a personalized bib for participants who register at least three weeks in advance. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers, top three in multiple age groups, and the top three firehouse teams.
