Melrose St. Patrick's Day 5K - Run for the Gold!

The Melrose St. Patrick’s Day 5K is a community event celebrating local tradition and Irish spirit. The race features a single distance:

  • 5 km

The 5 km course begins and ends on E. Foster Street, adjacent to the Melrose Family YMCA. Participants travel down Lebanon Street, run through Pine Banks Park, and return via Main Street. The event includes chip timing conducted by Second Wind Timing. Live bagpipers perform near the finish line to welcome runners as they complete the course.

Following the run, an awards ceremony recognizes top finishers. The event also provides post-race refreshments. Participation supports the charitable works of the Melrose Knights of Columbus, which assists local families and community initiatives.

The race is open to participants of various ages and abilities, including those using strollers. Children aged 10 and under can participate for free. The first 100 registered runners receive an official race t-shirt. Parking is available in municipal areas throughout downtown Melrose.
