About the race
Megalodon Weekend is a two day running event at the Venice Airport Festival Grounds in Venice, FL on March 6 and March 7, 2027. The weekend centers on a 10K on Saturday and a 5K on Sunday and offers in-person, virtual, and combined entry options.
The Megalodon Challenge is a bundled registration that covers both the Shark's Tooth 10K and the Shark Fin 5K. The bundle includes the race shirt (participants may choose no shirt and save $5), the Shark's Tooth 10K medal, the Shark Fin 5K medal, and the Megalodon Mega Medal. Entrants can indicate a Mega Flexible preference to complete one event in-person and the other virtually.
Fully virtual options are available for the 10K, the 5K, or the Megalodon Challenge. Virtual registrants will receive Megalodon event items shipped to the address provided at registration; shipping fees are included.

Registration opens September 13, 2026. Registrations made before February 10, 2027 are guaranteed race shirts. Listed registration fees include $85 for the Megalodon Challenge, $50 for the Shark's Tooth 10K, $35 for the Shark Fin 5K, $55 for the Virtual 10K, $45 for the Virtual 5K, and $100 for the Virtual Megalodon Challenge.
