Meet the Minotaur (June 26-28, 2026)
Meet the Minotaur is a multi-day skyrunning event in Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. The program includes a vertical kilometer at Castle Mountain Resort, an International Skyrunning Federation certified SkyRace that will serve as the 2026 Canadian National Skyrunning Championships, and a shorter mountain race that will host the 2026 continental youth skyrunning championships. Races take place June 26 to 28, 2026.
Distances
- 33.5 km Minotaur SkyRace - 2900 m vertical, 12 hour cut-off
- 10.5 km Mini-Taur - 950 m vertical, 5 hour cut-off
- 4 km Minotaur VK - 970 m vertical
Registration and rules
Bib transfers may be arranged at the organizer's discretion. Deferrals or rollovers to future years are not permitted. A 50% refund is available until March 31. Prices increase on April 1 and again on June 1. Participants may change their distance if space permits; changes between distances may not include a refund for the price difference. Age requirements vary by race: Minotaur SkyRace and the Trifecta require participants to be at least 18 on race day; Mini-Taur and Minotaur VK require participants to be at least 15. The Trifecta combines the three races into a solo event. Cash prizing is offered for top finishers in the SkyRace and Mini-Taur. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
