The Dark - Bellevue

The Dark is a unique ultramarathon held inside the Bellevue Underground Mine in Alberta, Canada. This loop race features a 500-meter course within a 250-meter mine shaft, with a cool, consistent temperature of 0° to 2°C year-round. Participants can choose to run for 6, 12, or 24 hours, aiming to complete as many laps as possible within their time limit.

The mine tunnel is about 4 meters wide, allowing comfortable running space. The event is limited to 100 solo runners and offers a warming station with food at the mine entrance.
