Event overview
The Divide 200 is presented as a 200-mile ultramarathon held in August 2026 at Castle Mountain Resort, Pincher Creek No. 9, Alberta, Canada. The event highlights sections of the Great Divide Trail and the Castle and Crowsnest region of the southern Rocky Mountains. It is open to solo competitors and capped at 100 entrants. The organisers provide a mandatory Garmin inReach for route-finding and safety. Checkpoints are placed every 20 to 40 km along the route.
Course, entry and logistics
The course mixes single track, double track, a small amount of road, cross-country, bushwhacking, and scrambling, with alpine travel and ridge walking through remote backcountry. Competitors are expected to have substantial ultramarathon experience and proficiency in alpine travel; the organisers note that some route-finding is required despite a prescribed course. The race offers prize money for the top three female and male finishers: CDN$5,000, CDN$2,500, and CDN$1,750 respectively.
Registration is available with a payment-plan option. Full fees listed include an Early Bird price of CDN$1,995, a Regular price of CDN$2,150, and late pricing up to CDN$2,200. A 50% deposit option is offered; the second instalment is due by March 31, with a 10% price increase if paid after April 1. A 10% nonrefundable fee applies. Pacers must register and sign waivers.
