The Divide 200
The Divide 200 is an alpine ultra held at Castle Mountain Resort, Pincher Creek No. 9, Alberta, Canada in August 2026. The route uses sections of the Great Divide Trail and crosses the Castle and Crowsnest region of the southern Rocky Mountains.
The course is a mix of single track, double track, a small amount of road, cross-country sections, and some bushwhacking and scrambling. It focuses on alpine travel and ridge walking, taking competitors into remote backcountry.
Distances offered:
- 200 mile solo
- 100 km solo (about 115 km)
- 200 mile relay for teams of 2 to 8
Main checkpoints are spaced approximately every 20 to 40 km depending on the section. Organizers provide a Garmin inReach that is required for navigation and safety; GPS files and reflective course markers are also provided. The race is limited to 100 entrants.
Included services noted by the organizers are pre- and post-race meals for 200 mile and 100 km competitors, optional meals for relay teams, satellite trackers, well stocked aid stations with fresh and hot food, medical support, and professional event photography.
