Meech Lake Triathlon
The Meech Lake Triathlon is scheduled for Saturday, July 10, 2027 at O’Brien Beach in Chelsea, QC. The event is sold out and entry is limited to 300 participants. Participants must be at least 16 years old. The race uses a swim, bike, run format; the listed race option for this edition is:
- Swim 1200 m
- Bike 21.7 km
- Run 6.4 km
The event is presented as the Mike Collingwood Memorial Triathlon, an edition of a race first held in 1983 and renamed in 2007 to honour the late organizer. Course features noted by participants include calm, clear water for the swim, hilly sections on the bike through Gatineau Park, and a scenic run route through the National Park.
Included with registration are professional timing, on-course nutrition, a personalized race bib and swim cap, virtual bike-fit service, professional race photography, podium prizes for the top three male, female and non-binary finishers, and post-race snacks. There is a three-hour overall cut-off for the course. Parking for athletes is available at park lots P9, Skyline, or P8 with transition set-up near P11.
