Event details
The Meech Lake Triathlon takes place on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at O’Brien Beach in Chelsea, Quebec (J9B 1H9). The event is sold out and the organizer maintains a waitlist. Registration was limited to 300 participants and the minimum age is 16 years. Athletes must complete the race within a 3-hour total time limit. Entry fee listed on the event page is $129 (includes taxes and fees).

- 750 m swim
- 20 km bike
- 5 km run
Podium prizes are awarded to the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers. The race supports the University of Ottawa Heart Institute as a fundraiser.
Logistics and services
Included in registration are a personalized race bib, a swim cap, professional timing, on-course nutrition, race photography, post-race snacks, and a complimentary virtual bike fit. The event notes calm, clear water at Meech Lake, hilly sections on the bike course through Gatineau Park, and a scenic run through the National Park. Strava files and course maps are available for each race segment.
Athletes can park at P9 or P8 and then set up run gear at the finish area before moving to P11 to set up T1. Bib pickup is available Friday, July 10 at Sports4 (769 Bank Street) and on race day at P9. Deadlines include a shirt order deadline (May 29) and a medal add-on deadline (June 11).
