Meech Lake Triathlon
The Meech Lake Triathlon is held at O'Brien Beach in Gatineau Park. The event is listed as sold out and has a participation limit of 300 athletes. Participants must be at least 16 years old. The race has a three hour cutoff.
One race option is provided with the following segment distances:
- Swim: 1200 m
- Bike: 21.7 km
- Run: 6.4 km
Course features noted by participants include calm, clear water for the swim, hilly sections through Gatineau Park on the bike course, and a scenic run through the National Park. Strava files and course maps are available for the swim, transitions, bike and run, including elevation and direction information.
Logistics mention parking at P9, Skyline, or P8 with a setup area near P11 for transition one. Included with registration are a virtual bike fit, a personalized race bib, a Somersault swim cap, professional timing, on-course nutrition, professional race photography, podium prizes for the top three male, female and non binary finishers, and post-race snacks.
