Meech Lake Triathlon at O’Brien Beach
The Meech Lake Triathlon takes place at O’Brien Beach in Chelsea, QC. The event combines a swim, bike and run on courses routed through Gatineau Park and adjacent parkland. Race options list the distances as a 1200 m swim, 27 km bike and 6.4 km run.
The event is limited to 300 participants and registration is currently closed; a waitlist is maintained. Participants must be at least 16 years old. A total race time limit of three hours is applied. Course maps and route files are available for the swim, transitions, bike and run to review elevation and directions.
Included with registration are a personalized race bib, professional timing, a swim cap, a free virtual bike fit, on-course nutrition, race photography, podium prizes for the top three male, female and non-binary finishers, and post-race snacks. The course features calm, clear lake water for the swim, hilly sections on the bike through Gatineau Park, and a scenic run through the national park.
