The Meech Lake Triathlon, held annually at O’Brien Beach in Chelsea, Quebec, is a scenic and challenging event featuring a swim in the calm, clear waters of Meech Lake, a bike course through the hilly terrain of Gatineau Park, and a run through the National Park. Established in 1983 and renamed in 2007 to honor founder Mike Collingwood, the race welcomes athletes aged 16 and older, with a participant limit of 300. Registration includes professional timing, on-course nutrition, race photography, and post-race refreshments.
The event also supports the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, combining athletic challenge with community fundraising. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
