The Meech Lake Triathlon, held at O’Brien Beach in Chelsea, Quebec, is a celebrated multisport event with a rich history dating back to 1983. Known as the Mike Collingwood Memorial Triathlon, it features a swim in the calm, clear waters of Meech Lake, a challenging bike course through the hilly terrain of Gatineau Park, and a scenic run within the National Park. Limited to 300 participants aged 16 and older, the race offers professional timing, on-course nutrition, race photography, and post-race refreshments.
It also supports the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, combining athletic challenge with community fundraising. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
