About the race
Canada Army Run in Ottawa offers both in-person and virtual race options that raise funds for the Canadian Armed Forces community. The in-person event is scheduled for September 20, 2026. The virtual race window runs from September 4 to September 25, 2026.
In person, participants run, walk, or roll past several Ottawa landmarks. The in-person courses include kilometre markers, water stations, and portable toilets located near each aid station. On-course amenities and post-race nutrition are provided. Registration for in-person entries includes exclusive Canada Army Run merchandise and a dog tag finisher's medal.

Virtual races use the same distance options and allow participants to complete distances anywhere within the virtual window. Virtual registration includes taxes, a race kit with Canada Army Run merchandise, a dog tag finisher's medal, and race kit shipping anywhere in Canada. Virtual results may be uploaded using the ASICS Runkeeper App, a connected fitness device, or manual time upload. Participants can compete solo or in teams and view standings on a global leaderboard.
