Meandering Turkey : Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Meandering Turkey is a late November 2026 trail running event organized by Missouri Running Company at Klaus Park, located between Cape Girardeau and Jackson, Missouri. The main course is approximately 5.5 miles and runs on trail that includes hills and rooty single-track sections. Trail and parking space are limited, so the field is capped at 100 participants.
Race awards include a $100 Missouri Running Company gift certificate for the overall male and female winners and awards to the top three finishers in each age division. Age divisions are 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus; divisions may be split into five-year groups if more than eight runners register in a division.
Event provisions include a Missouri Running performance tech shirt and a pair of socks for participants. Food and beverages are provided after the race. Race day registration is not available. No refunds and no transfers are allowed.
A kids fun run of about 1.5 miles follows the main event for ages 12 and under; it is free, does not include a shirt, and does not include awards. The kids run is weather dependent, and parents are invited to run with their children. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
