MCW Lenape Runventure
MissionCleanWater organizes a fully crewed, charity-focused run along the Lenape Trail in Essex County, New Jersey. The full route covers 34 miles, passes through 18 parks and 11 municipalities, and runs from Branch Brook Park in Newark to South Mountain Reservation in Millburn.
Participants may complete the route solo or as part of a relay team. Formats and distances offered:
- Solo: 34 miles
- Relay: 3 to 6 person team
Event staff provide logistics and on-course support. Services include shuttle transportation to the trailhead, portable aid stations spaced approximately every 3 to 7 miles with water, electrolytes and food, a fully stocked first aid kit, and two pace cars that meet runners at checkpoints for resupply. Crewing cars meet participants roughly every 3 to 8 miles; relay teams must provide their own transport to and from checkpoints. Organizers will coordinate logistics with team captains and will wait for participants at checkpoints.
Preparation resources are offered before the event, including biweekly virtual prep sessions and personalized training plans. Every registered participant receives an adventure packet at registration and again one week before the event with trail maps, GPS navigation tips, required gear, and checkpoint distances.

- Checkpoint 4 to checkpoint 5: 7.35 mi (+758 ft / -660 ft)
- Checkpoint 5 to Finish: 8.13 mi (+1166 ft / -1556 ft)
