Going Green Track Meet 2026
The Going Green Track Meet is a community track event held at Gaithersburg High School in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The meet includes youth races, one mile and two mile races run in seeded heats, and a 4x400 relay for teams of four.
Event races and formats include:
- 400 m youth run
- 800 m youth run
- One mile run in multiple heats
- Two mile run in multiple heats
- 4x400 relay for teams of four
MCRRC members may enter this meet as part of the club's low-key race series at no additional race fee, but members must sign up for a 2026 bib and timing chip in advance. Members with older chips may exchange them for 2026 bibs and chips. New members or members without an older chip should provide a $5 chip deposit if required. Personalized 2026 bibs are held for those who have already signed up.
Non members pay a registration fee of $22 for participants age 18 and older and $11.60 for participants under 18; these amounts include registration and processing fees. Online registration is available through the start of the race.
Youth series runs do not use timing chips; all youth participants must be registered by a parent or guardian prior to race day. The event is staffed by volunteers. Non members unable to attend may request that their registration be moved to another low-key event; monetary refunds are not provided.
