McDougal Lake Trailfest : August 8–9, 2026
McDougal Lake Trailfest is a two-day event at McDougal Lake, 1872 Stiles Ford Road, Hodgenville, Kentucky. The program includes trail running and mountain bike races with looped course formats and age-specific divisions.
Distances offered include:
- 4 miles
- 8 miles
- 16 miles
- 32 miles
Event highlights include a junior mountain bike race for ages 8–12, an 8-mile loop used for multiple lap events, a four-lap 32-mile challenge called Four for 7/4, and a two-lap 16-mile Race Laps event. A Party Lap is run as a single 8-mile loop. Several mountain bike categories also include e-bike-only entries.
A Double Down option pairs a running race on the first day with a bike event on the second day; fee information is specified per entry. Registration opens February 27, 2026; fees vary by event (for example, the 4-mile run is $35, the 8-mile run is $45, junior MTB is $25, Four for 7/4 is $45, Race Laps is $35, Party Lap is $25, and Double Down options are $50).
T-shirts are provided to participants who register before the deadline. Every participant receives a custom medal and decal. Podium awards are given to top finishers in eligible divisions, while some e-bike and fun-entry categories do not receive awards but may receive event swag.
