Paws & Pom Poms Run at Freeman Lake Park
The Paws & Pom Poms Run is a community running event at Freeman Lake Park in Elizabethtown, Kentucky on August 22, 2026. The event benefits the TK Stone Middle School cheer team, with all proceeds directed to that program. A guaranteed T-shirt cutoff date is August 10.
Multiple race distances are offered:
- 1K kids FUN run
- 5K run/walk
- 10 Miles
- 15K Double Down run
- 25K
The course features cheer stations and cheerleaders along the route with Panther themed colors of navy, gold, and white. Participants receive custom race shirts and finisher medals. Awards are presented near the finish area following the races. Award categories include overall top male and female finishers, age group winners, and special spirit awards such as Best Cheer Spirit Outfit, Best Panther Pride Team, and Top Fundraising Team. Age group first-place awards are given for these divisions: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
