Firecracker 5k and Mile
The Firecracker 5k and Mile is part of the Dinosaurland Freedom Fest celebrating 250 years of America. The event follows a patriotic theme with participants encouraged to wear red, white and blue or use face paint. The program begins with the singing of the National Anthem and the 5K finishes near the Field of Flags.

The 5K course starts at UBTECH and finishes at Ashley Community Park. Shuttle buses will be available to transport runners from Ashley Community Park to UBTECH before the 5K; there is no shuttle service after the race. Parking is available near UBTech and USU. Strollers are allowed; scooters, bikes and roller blades are not permitted.
Packet, shirt and bib pickup is available at Uintah Recreation Center on July 3 and on the morning of July 4 at the UBTECH parking lot for the 5K. Packet pickup for the 1 mile is at Uintah Recreation Center on July 3 or on the morning of July 4 at Ashley Community Park. Race day registration carries an additional fee. Register by June 19 to guarantee a T-shirt; extra shirts may be distributed as available.
All runners receive custom medals, a race shirt and a swag bag. The first 250 registrants for the 5K receive a limited edition America 250 pin. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three men and women in both races. Professional timing is provided by Lickety Split Timing and results will be posted online.
