Annual 5K Walk/Run for Scholarships
The 20th Annual 5K Walk/Run for Scholarships is organized by the MCC Foundation and Alumni Affairs and takes place on October 3, 2026. The event brings together MCC faculty, staff, students, retirees, and members of the greater Rochester community to support scholarships for MCC students.
Event activities include a Zumba warm-up, a certified 5K course that can be walked or run, a family-oriented Fall Fest, a scholarship drawing with an awards ceremony, and a post-event lunch. A total of $5,000 in MCC scholarships will be awarded to current MCC student participants after the race.
Participation options accommodate individuals and teams, and participants may register alone or as part of a team, or dedicate their participation in honor or memory of someone. The event also supports fundraising among programs and departments through friendly competition.
Several sponsorship tiers are available, with named levels ranging from $500 to $10,000. Sponsorship benefits vary by level and include forms of recognition such as placement of company names and logos on event web pages and signage, visibility on the race course, reserved tickets to post-race meals, and race bib recognition for the top sponsorship level.
