Event details
The 2026 MBNA Chester 10K is scheduled for Sunday 8 March 2026 in Chester. It is the only city-based 10K in Chester and forms the first race of the Chester Triple Series. The event is run under UK Athletics rules and the course is measured by the AUKCM. The minimum age on race day is 15. The race also acts as a qualifier for the England Athletics Age Group Masters 10K Championships.
Course, entries and race services
The course starts near Chester Racecourse on Nuns Road, heads north-west out of the city, passes the village of Mollington and returns to finish on Eastgate Street near the Eastgate Clock, passing the Victorian town hall and the Medieval Cathedral. Entry options include standard and a "Green Runner" choice; Green Runners do not receive a medal, T-shirt or goody bag and the cost of those items is donated to the event charity. Prices are tiered: early entry, standard and late entry bands are published, with UKA-affiliated entrants receiving a small discount. Entries are transferable to another runner via the official process; places are non refundable and cannot be deferred. Runners receive a posted race pack (international runners collect at the Help Desk), access to training plans and organised training runs, on-course hydration, medical support, official race photos and live tracking for supporters.
