Event details
The MBNA Chester 10K is scheduled for Sunday 8 March 2026. This will be the ninth running of the event. It is described as Chester's only city-based 10K and is the first race in the Chester Triple Medal series. Entries for the 2026 race are open. Runners may choose to support the event's official charity, Claire House Children's Hospice, or run for another charity of their choice.
Course and recent results
The course starts on Nuns Road next to Chester Racecourse, heads north-west out of the city on wide roads, passes near the village of Mollington, and returns to the city centre. The route passes the Victorian town hall and the Medieval Cathedral and finishes on Eastgate Street with the Eastgate Clock as a backdrop.
Recorded course and recent finishing times include a men's course record of 29:20 (set in 2023) and a women's course record of 33:50 (set in 2025).
