MBNA Chester 10K : 2026

The MBNA Chester 10K is Chester's only city centre 10K and the first race in the 2026 Chester Triple Medal series. The 2026 edition is the ninth running of the event. The course starts near Chester Racecourse and uses fully closed roads.

The route heads north-west out of the city, passes close to the village of Mollington, then returns through the heart of Chester past the Victorian town hall and the Medieval Cathedral, finishing on Eastgate Street with the Eastgate Clock as a backdrop. The course is measured by the AUKCM and the race is held under UK Athletics rules.

Race services include posted race packs with a race number and timing chip for most entrants, on-course hydration, medical support, free official race photos, and a runners Help Desk. Finishers receive a bespoke medal, a short sleeve technical T-shirt and a reusable goody bag unless they select the Green Runner option, which forgoes the medal, T-shirt and goody bag in order to donate the cost of those items to the event charity. Prizes are awarded to the top three men and women and to age group winners.

Entry conditions note a minimum age of 15 on race day, the ability to transfer places between runners, and a non refundable policy for race places unless the organiser postpones or cancels the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
