MBC Annual 5k
Metropolitan Baptist Church hosts its Annual 5 km Run/Walk on May 23, 2026 in Hollywood, FL. The event raises funds for the David A. Morgan Scholarship Fund; 100% of race proceeds benefit the scholarship.
Registration opens March 1, 2026 and closes May 23, 2026. The registration fee is $25. Registrants by May 10 are guaranteed a souvenir race T-shirt. Check-in and bib pickup take place on race day and an awards ceremony follows the event.
The course starts and finishes at Metropolitan Baptist Church. Runners head south on 72nd Avenue for approximately 0.8 miles, then west on Sheridan Street, then one block north on North University Avenue, and return northeast along Davie Road Extension to the starting area. There are three water stations along the route: at the turn onto Sheridan Street, at the turn onto Davie Road Extension, and a final station later on the course. Course marshals are stationed at each turn to guide participants.
Participants may create donation or fundraising pages to support the scholarship fund. The event combines a measured loop course, on-course support, and a fund allocation stated as a full benefit to the David A. Morgan Scholarship Fund.
