Course and logistics

Distances:

  • 2 mile
  • 10k
  • 50-yard Kid’s Race (free; separate registration; child must be entered in 2 mile or 10k)

Both road and park surfaces are used; the course runs along the Kenosha lakefront on city streets, bike paths, and through parks. The routes are described as mostly level and split at the one-mile mark. The 10k route includes water stops at miles 2 and 4. The course is not fully closed to traffic and runners must be alert; marshaling for the 10k ends 80 minutes after the start. Bicycles, roller or in-line skates, and skateboards are prohibited. Water will be available outside the museum after the run.

Awards include a Mayor’s Cup trophy for overall male and female winners in both distances, age-group medals for the top three in each gender group, specified age categories from 9 and younger through 80 and older, and T-shirts for the first 1,500 entrants. Race results are posted within one week after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
