Mayor's Turkey Day Run - Kenosha
The Mayor's Turkey Day Run is a Thanksgiving Day morning race that began in 1906, was revived by the Kenosha Running Club in 1978, and now draws nearly 3,000 runners. The event is based at the Kenosha Public Museum, 5500 1st Avenue, on the lakefront.

- 10k
- 2 mile
- 50-yard kids dash (separate, free registration; child must be entered in the 2 mile or 10k)
The course runs along the Kenosha lakefront using city streets, bike paths, and parks. The routes are mostly level; water stops are available at miles 2 and 4 for 10k runners. The race is not on a closed course, so runners must be alert to traffic. Marshaling for the 10k course ends 80 minutes after the start.
Registration follows a tiered fee schedule: an early bird price through 7/13/2026, a regular registration period from 7/14/2026 to 11/22/2026, and a final packet pickup/last-day price on 11/25/2026. Online registration closes at 11:59 AM on 11/22/2026; there is no registration on 11/23 or 11/24. No same-day registration is allowed. Mail-in registration is accepted to PO Box 723, Kenosha, WI 53141.
Awards include a Mayor's Cup Trophy for overall male and female winners in both distances, age-group medals for the top three in each gender group, and T-shirts for the first 1,500 entrants.
