This event is organized by the Lakeland Runners Club, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that promotes running and fitness for people of all ages and abilities. The program marks the 47th running of the Mayfaire 5k Road Race and Walk and takes place in downtown Lakeland and the historic Lake Morton district.
The event includes the 5k road race and a Stroller Rider category. The course is USATF certified (FL22015JK) and the race is chip timed. The race is held in conjunction with the Ashley Gibson Barnett Museum of Art at Florida Southern College's Mayfaire by-the-lake art festival; the event shirt features the festival's featured artist.
Location and participation details are provided for Frances Langford Promenade at Lake Mirror, 215 S Lake Ave, Lakeland, FL 33801. The race field is limited to 1,050 runners. The Mayfaire 5k is open to ages 5 and older; a youth price applies for ages 5 to 18. The Stroller Rider entry is a separate, no cost registration and is open to ages 6 and under.
Organizers are unable to mail bibs, shirts, finisher medals, or awards. Packets and awards must be picked up in person or by a designated representative during the scheduled pickup windows.
