Event Information
The event includes two categories:
- Mayfaire 5k: A 5k road race and walk.
- Stroller Rider: A separate registration for children in strollers.
The Mayfaire 5k is an evening event held on residential streets. The route goes from downtown Lakeland through the historic Lake Morton district. The course is USATF-certified (FL22015JK) and the race uses chip timing. Walkers are welcome to participate.
This 5k event is held in conjunction with Florida Southern College's annual Mayfaire by-the-lake art festival. The event shirt features the work of the festival's featured artist. The organizer is the Lakeland Runners Club, Inc., a nonprofit organization.
Logistics
The start and finish location is the Frances Langford Promenade at Lake Mirror, at 215 S Lake Ave in Lakeland, Florida. Race items like bibs, shirts, and awards are not mailed.
