Unique Abilities 5K Run/Walk
The Unique Abilities 5K is a community run and walk hosted by Preston's Path Foundation in Southampton, New York. The event supports Autism Acceptance and inclusion and aims to bring local and extended communities together to support Autistic individuals and their families.
The course covers 3.1 miles and begins and ends at Cooper's Beach. The route follows Meadow Lane, First Neck Lane, Great Plains Road, Captains Neck Lane, Boyeson Road and Halsey Neck Lane before returning to Meadow Lane and the finish at Cooper's Beach. Dogs and bicycles are not allowed on the race course. Participants with strollers are asked to start toward the back of the field.
Registration is not yet open. The event offers finisher medals, water stations on the route, food and refreshments, music, a kids fun run, live results and free finish line photos. The first 50 registrants to arrive early receive a t-shirt while sizes are not guaranteed. A personalized bib is available for those who register at least three weeks in advance. Top three male and female overall finishers receive awards.
Bib pickup is handled by event staff and requires a bib number. Last-minute registrants can receive their bib number by text. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
