Unique Abilities 5K Run/Walk
The Unique Abilities 5K is a community run and walk hosted by Preston's Path Foundation at Cooper's Beach in Southampton, New York. The course is 3.1 miles and follows local roads, beginning and ending at Cooper's Beach with turns on Meadow Lane, First Neck Lane, Great Plains Road, Captains Neck Lane, Boyeson Road and Halsey Neck Lane.
Event amenities include t-shirts for the first 50 registrants to arrive with sizes not guaranteed, finisher medals, water stations on the route, a food and refreshment table, music, a kids fun run, live text and email results, and free finish line photos. Personalized bibs are offered for registrations completed three weeks in advance; last-minute registrants within 24 hours receive their bib number by text.
Awards are presented to the top three male and top three female overall. No dogs or bicycles are allowed on the race course, and participants using strollers are asked to start at the back. The event is presented in continuance of honoring Autism Acceptance Month and aims to support Autism Acceptance and inclusion while building a more inclusive and supportive community for autistic individuals and their families.
