Hills Triathlon Club Race 3 : Sydney International Regatta Centre, Penrith
This triathlon event is held at the Sydney International Regatta Centre in Penrith with entry through Gate A. Registration and the transition area are on the grassed island just over the bridge near the grandstand; a course map will be available at the registration tent. The venue provides marked parking on the island and overflow parking on the southern side of the competition lake. Competitors must follow site speed limits and directions from Regatta Centre staff.
An electronic timing system is used with a chip attached to an ankle timing band. Competitors receive the band at registration, must wear it on the left ankle for the whole race, and return it intact after finishing or if withdrawing; failure to return a band incurs a replacement fee of $75. Qualified first aid personnel will be on duty at the first aid shed; use of medical aid by event personnel will not result in disqualification. A drink station is provided part way along the run leg. Toilet blocks are behind the eastern end of the grandstand and in the boat shed behind the grandstand.
Race numbers must be affixed as specified: bike number on the seat post, helmet number on the front of the helmet, and bib number worn during the run. AUS Triathlon competition rules apply; any additional rules will be announced at the pre-race briefing. Normal and late entry closing rules apply, with a late entry fee of $25 and a cap on junior entries. Post-race light refreshments are provided at no additional cost.
