Masser 5 Miler
The Masser 5 Miler is the 33rd running of a 5 mile road and trail race held in Lewes, Delaware. The course is described as flat and fast and runs mostly on bike trails through the town with minimal traffic. The start and finish are located at Cape Henlopen High School inside Legends Stadium.
Registration opens 12/22/2025. Fee levels are tiered: $30 early bird through May 10, $35 pre-registration from May 11 through May 23, and $40 for race-day registration. Online registration guarantees a T-shirt for entries received by May 18; later registrations receive shirts on a first-come basis. Mail-in registration is also accepted and must arrive by the stated deadline to guarantee a shirt.
A pre-race packet pickup is held on the Saturday before the race at the New Balance store on Route One south bound Coastal Highway from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Race-day packet pickup is available the morning of the event from 6:00 to 7:15 AM.
Timing is handled with a Chronotrack B chip attached to the rear of the bib; bibs should be worn on the front and not bent. Race amenities include a multi-colored technical T-shirt and water stops at approximately 2 miles and 3.5 miles. Awards are given to overall and age-group finishers; awards not claimed may be shipped for a $10 postage fee. The event benefits the Seashore Strider youth cross country program and is part of the Seashore Striders Summer Championship Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
