9th Annual SoDel Cares 5k Run / Walk & Non Competitive Mile Walk
This community event in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, brings together running and walking options and supports SoDel Cares, the philanthropic arm of SoDel Concepts. SoDel Cares provides funding to local organizations that assist children, at-risk youth and adults, and the elderly, with a stated mission to contribute positively to the communities where SoDel operates.

- 5K walk
- One mile non competitive walk
The event is staged at Thompson Island Brewing Company on Veterans Way and includes packet pickup on the day prior and on the morning of the event. A separate competitive walking category requires participants to walk the entire course with no running or jogging permitted. Timing is provided by R2R Timing using the MYLAPS BibTag chip timing system, and results are posted online during and after the event.
Participant amenities listed by the organizer include participant tee shirts while supplies last, live music, post race refreshments courtesy of Thompson Island Brewery, a post race breakfast buffet, and complimentary beer for those 21 and older. Awards use gun time for overall and masters top finishers and chip net time for age groups.
