The 8th Annual SoDel Cares 5k Run / Walk & Non Competitive Mile Walk takes place on June 6, 2026 in Rehoboth Beach, DE at Thompson Island Brewery. The event offers multiple distance options:

Details
SoDel Cares is the philanthropic arm of SoDel Concepts and supports local organizations that assist children, at-risk youth and adults, and the elderly. Registration fees are listed for different categories and include mandatory charges; sample prices shown include amounts in effect from Jan 1 to Jun 6 and a higher one-mile price for race day. Packet pickup is available Friday afternoon and the Saturday of the event. No dogs are allowed due to insurance liability. Bibs are non-transferable and there are no refunds on registrations.
Amenities and awards
Registered participants receive tee shirts. The event includes live music, post-race refreshments provided by Thompson Island Brewery, a post-race breakfast buffet, and complimentary beer options for those 21 and over. Awards are given by overall and masters placements (overall awards scored by gun time, other age groups by chip/net time), top three in ten-year age groups from 13 and under through 80 and over, and top three male and female walkers.
