8th Annual SoDel Cares 5k Run / Walk & Non Competitive Mile Walk
This event is the eighth annual benefit organized by SoDel Cares, the philanthropic arm of SoDel Concepts. It takes place on June 6, 2026 at Thompson Island Brewing Company on Veterans Way in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The event offers timed and non-timed participation options and supports local organizations that assist children, at-risk youth and adults, and the elderly.

- 5k run
- 5k competitive walk (participants must walk the entire course; no running or jogging)
- One mile non timed walk
Packet pick up and late registration are available the day before and the morning of the event. Registration fees apply and vary by category. An adult guest ticket is available for the post race gathering and includes alcohol and food.
Timing and results use chip timing with the MYLAPS BibTag system managed by R2R Timing. Live results will be posted online during the event and complete results will be posted after the race. Photos will be published on the Races2Run Facebook page following the event.
Amenities listed by the organizer include participant tee shirts while supplies last, post race refreshments provided by Thompson Island Brewery, live music, a breakfast buffet at the post race party, and complimentary beer for attendees aged 21 and over.
