The full marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifying course. The kids' marathon is 1.2 miles and is organized in color-coded waves. Packet pick-up and late registration occur at Ford Field Park on the days before the race and on race weekend.
Post-race provisions include food and a Martian Retail Shop. All finishers receive a finisher medal. Overall awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each race based on gun time. Age group awards are 3-deep in 5-year age groups based on chip time. Prize money is listed for the 10K and marathon overall and masters winners.
Course and logistics
Courses are described as wide, traffic free, and lightly rolling. The half marathon has a 4.75 hour time limit. The marathon has a 6.5 hour time limit and an intermediate cutoff at the end of the first loop; runners who miss the cutoff are redirected toward the finish and scored as half marathon finishers.
Aid stations are located approximately every 2 miles and provide Absopure water, Gatorade, and energy gels. Bathrooms are placed approximately every 5 miles.
