Marriott's Way Marathon and Half Marathon
Marriott's Way Marathon and Half Marathon take place on 21 February 2027 along Marriott's Way and raise funds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. The event is in its third year and both races finish at Aylsham Friendship Hall.
Distances
- Marathon follows Marriott's Way from Norwich, finishes at Aylsham Friendship Hall.
- Half Marathon starts at Whitwell and Reepham Station, finishes at Aylsham Friendship Hall.
The route is largely traffic free and easy to follow. The course has not been measured by a UKA approved measurer, so the distances are approximate. Runners and walkers are welcome and the event is limited to 200 participants overall. Minimum ages on race day are 18 for the marathon and 17 for the half marathon.
Entry fees (no booking fee) are shown as: Marathon affiliated £46, Marathon unaffiliated £48, Half Marathon affiliated £36, Half Marathon unaffiliated £38. A 5% donation from each entry goes to the East Anglian Air Ambulance. Coach transport to the starts is available for £12 from Aylsham Market Place and race numbers are collected on the day; those taking the coach receive numbers as they board.
Facilities and services include water and snacks on the route, first aid, a unique finisher medal, hot drinks and snacks at the finish, and prizes for the top three female and male/open finishers in both races. The event is licensed by the ARC and held under UK Athletics Rules, permit ARC/27/0007. Entries are non-refundable; transfers to another runner are permitted until midnight on 13/02/2027.
