The Wensum Way Trail
The event takes place on 27 September 2026 at Billingford Lakes, North Elmham Road, NR20 4RG. It uses the Wensum Way within the park and is organised by Zig Zag Running.
The course is an out-and-back loop of 5.3 km, running across a mix of tarmac paths, grassland and rugged trail sections. The route layout supports lap-based distances for longer categories.
Standard lap formats listed for the event include:
- Heavy half marathon as standard with 5 laps, with the option to change to 6 or 7 laps on the day.
- Ultra marathon as standard with 9 laps, with the option to increase up to 12 laps depending on time.
Practical details note that an aid station will be located at base camp. The event is cupless, so participants should bring their own cups or bottles for refilling at the aid station. Parking at the venue is included with race entry. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, and a Lucky Dip medal option may be available.
