The Wensum Way Trail
The Wensum Way Trail takes place at Billingford Lakes in North Elmham. The event offers two distinct time-limited sessions: a 6-hour event and a 4-hour event. Participants run on an out-and-back course that measures 5.3 km per lap, encompassing the Wensum Way within the park.
The terrain consists of a varied trail mix, including grasslands, rugged trails, and tarmac paths. Because the course is based on laps, runners have the flexibility to determine their final distance during the event based on the number of laps completed within their chosen time limit.
Available distances and lap options include:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 15 km
- Half Marathon
- Heavy Half Marathon (Standard 5 laps, with options for 6 or 7)
- Full Marathon
- Ultra Marathon (Standard 9 laps, with options up to 12)
This event is cupless, meaning runners must bring their own bottles or cups to use at the aid station located at the base camp. Parking is included in the entry fee. Finishers receive a bespoke event medal or can choose a "Lucky Dip" medal from previous events. Complimentary coffee and cake are provided for participants after they complete their run.
Minimum age requirements apply depending on the distance: 14 and over for the 5 km, 17 and over for the 10 km and 15 km, and 18 and over for all longer distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
