The Wensum Way Trail
The Wensum Way Trail is a trail running event at Billingford Lakes on the Wensum Way. The course uses a mix of tarmac paths, grassland and rugged trails and runs beside lakes and the river.
The main out and back route described is flat with about 9 m of total climb and a high point of 26 m and low point of 19 m. A GPX file for the course is available from the course tab.
Distances
- 5.3 km out and back, all trail, 9 m total climb.
- 5k, 10k, 15k, half marathon.
- Heavy half marathon standard 5 laps; option to change to 6 or 7 laps on the day.
- Full marathon.
- Ultra marathon standard 9 laps; option to increase up to 12 laps where time allows.
Logistics and amenities are provided at base camp. Parking is included in entry. An aid station is located at base camp for refilling and basic supplies. The event is cupless so cups or bottles must be used for refills. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal; a Lucky Dip medal option may be available.
