Event details
The Wensum Way Trail takes place on 27 September 2026 at Billingford Lakes, North Elmham Road, NR20 4RG. The event is organised by Zig Zag Running and has a maximum of 300 entrants. Entries close on 26 September 2026. Parking is included with entry. All finishers receive a bespoke medal; a "Lucky Dip" medal option is also listed. The event is cupless - participants must bring their own cups or bottles for refilling at the aid station.
Course and distances
The course uses an out-and-back 5.3 km route and includes a mix of tarmac paths, grasslands, and rugged trails. An aid station will be located at base camp. Lap formats are used for longer distances: the heavy half marathon is listed as 5 laps standard with options to change to 6 or 7 on the day; the ultra marathon is listed as 9 laps standard with the possibility of increasing up to 12 laps depending on time available.
