Event details
The Wensum Way Trail is a trail running event organised by Zig Zag Running at Billingford Lakes, NR20 4RG. The event is limited to a maximum of 300 entrants and the minimum age is 18 years. Entry is subject to the organiser's terms and conditions. Transfers close on 20/09/2026 and entries close on 26/09/2026.
Distances and format
The course is an out-and-back 5.3 km route on the "Wensum Way" within the park. Multiple race options are offered, including:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Half marathon
- Marathon
- Ultra
The half marathon is described as standardly run as 5 laps of the 5.3 km circuit, with the option to change to 6 or 7 laps on the day. The ultra is standardly 9 laps, with the possibility to increase laps up to 12 depending on available time.
Course and logistics
The trail features a mix of tarmac paths, grasslands, and rugged trails. An aid station will be located at base camp. Parking is included with entry. The event is cupless; participants must bring their own cup or bottle for refilling. All finishers receive a bespoke medal, with a "Lucky Dip" option to select from a selection of previous medals.
